Lizard nodded when the wolf finished, his lower lip trembling. What ever the plans this wolf had planned Lizard did not bother to wonder. He could smell danger in the air, and Lizard was terribly afraid of being hurt. He said thank you and left out, "for not hurting me."
"Um ... I have a new family in Earth," he said. "I'll just be going there ... now. But, I'll miss my friend, she doesn't know what's going on. Cortana, if you see another tiger called, Taranshi, can you tell her were I've gone?" The green tiger lowered his head in submission. "She's pink, not very hard to miss," he added.
There was no point in staying here now. This land was soon to be infected with evil, Lizard sensed it. So he left the lands to return to Shama Forest and tell his children and Taniku of the bad news. For a moment he stopped and looked back at the pack lands, wondering if he should try to take over and avenge Tayen, but Lizard knew he was too fat and he didn't have any fighting experience at all. It would have been a humiliating defeat. He broke out into a run, trying to run away from any bad soon to come in the future.
