The flames started along her shoulder and spread up her back, but it would soon be gone. The burning fur on her shoulder withered away and exposed the skin underneath to the flame, causing it to boil and rupture. Slowly the decent sized wound began to bleed and the wolf awoke in a hazy mixup. It took a moment to register everything around her, Cortana's mind slowly remembered her predicament. The flames along her body caused her alarm and she quickly rolled over to put them out. The white feme shakily got to her feet and faced Tayen, a snarl across her lips. "You're going to pay for that..."
The fey shook the ash from her coat, wincing slightly from the pain of the burns. The smell of poison filled her tendrils and she knew she still had that weapon on her... Good, hopefully no more energy wasted on blessings. Truth be told, she offered Tayen a thanks. The brief nap helped to revitalize her muscles so they were no longer aching. Cortana stood and waited for Tayen's reaction, hoping that maybe the wolf would faint with the massive amount of magic she was putting out.
