She was glad to be released.

She could feel the shards melting, and eventually there would be nothing but open wounds. But she couldn't rush, she couldn't afford to hurt herself from being too hasty. She had to be extremely careful if anything she tried was to work. She turned to see Cortana leaping over her, and used the tension she had build in her muscles to turn as quickly as managable. It wasn't one of the turns where she whipped her torso around and followed with her abdomen, but where she more like shuffled and pulled with her forepaws, moving her hindpaws along with the same manner as if steering a car in a quick and awkward motion.

She was hardly in time to see Cortana snapping forward, about to grab Tayen from behind. She followed her former tactic, this time twisting her head to the side and lunging forward simultaneously, aiming to place her teeth around Cortana's cheekbone, beneath one eye and underneath the jaw.
