((She couldn't really dodge so it doesn't matter, but just don't forget that auto-hit is off.))
She felt the thick skin of her nape grasped, as well as a pulling and shaking sensation, and knew she was in danger. Still, giving in was not an option, not until her life was fully on the line.
She was running out of options.
Tayen shifted, attempting to get back onto her feet. At first it came easy, then her muscles shifted so that they jarred against the shards, still embedded in her back. She whimpered, and lowered herself again. Still, she found she could rise a certain degree, just enough to be able to crawl. Her silver eyes caught the fire, and she knew she was insane for this, but it was worth a try to save her life. Tayen inched forward, bracing herself to prevent Cortana from dragging her backwards. Either the she-wolf could let go, or they could both go the same way. She scuttled forward until her forepaws were inches from the fire, her entire body numb so that she couldn't tell whether the she-wolf had released or was keeping a steady grasp.
Tayen could care less of whether she had to drag Cortana forward, or risk an open wound; she had plenty upon her, and the icicles in her back would only help her at this moment. She stopped, readjusting herself and lowering against, bunching her muscles and tensing herself completely, then waiting for Cortana's next move before she tried anything else. The warmth was melting the ice, and she felt a cold dampness covering her, countering the flaming pain the wounds made her feel. The fire was reflecting in her silver eyes, and there were only a couple things she could do to get this battle in her favor.
