She felt her bodily suddenly shift, in a split second, and her insides lurched as she gazed up and saw the icicles coming towards her. She immediately flattened her self, lifting her muzzle and using firebreath to melt most of the icicles, then covering her head as the rest fell. The shards were somewhat dulled by the heat, yet she felt the sting of several pound into her back and puncture an ear, hit her over the head, and wound the earth around her. She lay still for a moment, quivering, unsure when it was safe to move. The pain of the large spikes in her back held her in her place, and a feeling of loss was coming over her. She whimpered lightly, then removed her pas from over her eyes, gazing at Cortana, in the exact spot she had been.
She winced, the several cold shards feeling rather deep in her back, and an immense throbbing pain at her ear. She could feel the ice melting, and the pain becoming more hot and sever. The heat.... She stared at Cortana's pink paws, the frosty ground with its crabgrass, Cortana's paws, they dry fur... she didn't feel as if she could move, not now, not ever. Her eyes remained on Cortana's paws, and she erupted the foliage underfoot into flames. She knew well enough that the fire would spread, but didn't care at the moment. When she needed to move, she would attempt it, but for now, a large fire was being caused to break out directly where Cortana was standing. The bush fire blessing caused the greedy flames to stretched high, and she watched them, flicking over the dry ground, consuming the crabgrass and plantlife. She glanced at the shards surrounding her, twitching her skin slightly for damage control. One had went through the loose skin of her nape, three in her back, one through her ear and grazing her cheek, two shallowly in her flank, one at the loose skin over her hindleg.
She had no clue how to remove these on the spot, or if she could continue fighting without the blessings she had already broken in and could use without tiring; there were few of those. The ice shards were melting around her, causing the earth beneath her to become wet and slightly safer from the fire than the other areas. She only hoped that it didn't spread too far an scar her lands....
