Her instincts told her to release her own hold and pull free of the wolf's grasp, while another instinct told her to dig her paws in and attempt to not be moved. Neither of them seemed suitable, only because Tayen had no clue of what the wolf was planning. At feeling Cortana swing left, Tayen stumbled slightly forward, almost falling over her own paws, but bracing herself, growling in frustration. Still, she had a grip, and aimed to keep it, locking her jaws and slowly working more of the skin and flesh into her mouth so that it would tighten over the area, and bring her fangs closer to the actual muscle that lay between the stomache and hindleg. Tayen braced herself a second time in case Cortana aimed to push her again. Her main fear was losing her footing, as that could easily mean a loss for the wolf. She dug her claws tightly into the ground, bending her arms slightly to place her weight closer to earth.
