It breathed softly in the gloomy shade of a cave deeper in the packlands. It was the cave Tayen usually slept in, unless she was out fighting, which was many times the case. The black she-wolf was restless, and wouldn't be soothed until she felt she was infallible. And nobody was. The black head twitched, its eyes opening and revealing a bright violet colour. The howl had awoken the dragon, both heads eventually shifting into motion, and both yawning widely. The body of the dragon rose and slipped out of the den, cramped with his folded wings, which spread as soon as they were outside the cave boundaries. The dragon beat the limbs heavily until he was brought into the air, circling the lands a bit before arriving at the border and landing with the air of a dragon who had just woken up. Figures. Both heads scrutinized the wolf that now stood before them; the black head, more aggressive, growled slightly, while the white seemed rather relaxed. She didn't appear to be challenging, or at least didn't enter with the outlook of a wolf who did (arrogant, tail-raised and head high) so the white head found little reason not to be welcoming in some bit or another. "Hello," said the white head rather simply. The black one stopped growling. "What do you want here?" The latter mentioned inquired in what could be labeled a helpful-sounding accusation.

The alpha wolf, Tayen, was currently out at the moment... and the beta, Lizard, had dutifully vanished of the face of the earth. Same with Cradlesong, which left a single, rather reliable, duality dragon.
