Posted by Steve DIY on 7/9/2005, 3:31 am First off my express the sadness that was caused by the result of yesterdays terrorist attack in London. There's not much more I can say apart from this: "Yesterday was a sad day for people not just in the London but for people in the Rest Of the UK and the Rest Of The World. Today we stand UNITED in condemning terrorism of any form and may that UNITY continue as the colour of your skin or your sexual origin or religious background don't matter. Please don't let this cowardly attack be a catalyst for hate. It's LOVE and UNITY that is needed - not hate. Hate is negative - Let's be POSITIVE." > IWCA BENEFIT GIG - JULY 2ND 2005 A total of £411 was raised for the IWCA and next years event promises to be bigger and better with bands like The Beat and The Selecter being considered. Thanks to all those who supported this event and for making it a good day out. Not forgetting the bands who played - All giving it their best Well aside from busy last weekend and weeks before preparing for the gig last week and aswering emails etc I've also been reviewing material for FFRUK. There's new reviews from tyhe likes of Victory band 'A Perfect Murder', Hellcat band 'Orange' not forgetting reviews from Red Alert, The Hatepinks, Sex Gang Children, Lucifer Star Machine, FM Bats, Red Army General book, Good Vibrations Punk Singles Collection, Give Us A Future - History of Anagram Records, Test Dept DVD and Belle and Sebastians anthology. When on the site just click on the box and flick through the artists reviewed. As usual plenty of stuff to read. Please go to REVIEWS Just put the new Lost Cherrees interview up. That's a good one. "Scene's like this should be a thing of the past"
Despite the short notice FFRUK had to lay on the IWCA gig on at The Dome in London it has to be said the event was pretty successful. Much work put in by Tara Rez made this possible. I have to thank her for taking on this event at short notice. Everyone pretty much had a great time and the photo's from this event will be on line shortly.
