Hi Folks,
Hows you all been doing. Things here have been mad and I can't believe the summer is almost over in the UK. Did it ever start?
Anyway I don't want to bore you so this is what's been happening this past month.
First up there's been some really great stuff come into Street Voice for review in August 2008. There's new material from Indie artists such as Young Hollywood and Johnny Foreigner such Punk bands such as Static Thought, Hifi Handgrenades to huge artists such as the Levellers, Eilleen Rose and Ann West to Lagwagon and even Pendulum! In fact there's loads of reviews so go and have a look HERE.
Interview wise has been great too:
First to be interviewed were American Indie/Punk duo Atomic b###h who are one of my favourite bands. Click HERE to read the interview. I interviewed them a while back for website magazine FFRUK
I think most people should know who all female Rock N Roll band Civet are and it's always a pleasure dealing with this Epitaph band. To check out what we talked about please go HERE. They have a new album coming out next month which will be worth tracking down from what I've heard. My copy got lost in the post but the 5 tracks I got played were really enjoyable.
Next in line for interview was Tiffany Apan who's music really is out of the box. She singsd in the same style as Sarah Brightman along with the sounds of Ambience, Rock and even Classical. She was also an up and coming B-Movie star too! Interesting lady and her interview can be viewed HERE.
Kill Slowly have got to be the hottest band on this planet as we speak now. Not only have the looks they also have the tunes and it was a pleasure bumping into them on My Space. Next month Nita is heading over the UK so hopefully a full interview then and lots of drinks at one of my favourite London bars. Next month should see Street Voice geting more bands interviewed and of course making sure the Angekic Upstarts gig runs smoothly. For more details of that check out the gig poster on my SITE
Also you lotsshould check out Animal Rights activist Keith Mann's book on the subject call From Dusk 'Til DawN. Great read which tells the truth. Don't take the medias lies on AR subjects and found out the truth HERE
