The VCCP members would like to thank everyone from the exhibitors, the sponsors, the vendors, and everyone else that helped us and attended our show and sale this year. We thought things went really well and hope to see everyone back again next year. It was record attendance this year. Good luck the remainder of the show year. Thanks

The pictures that were taken usually take a couple of weeks to get ready. Photos are not just put onto websites the next day after the show. Each photo has to be cropped and photoshopped to the photographers satisfaction before he releases them. This is a slow process when you consider 1000 +pictures from the weekend. You can keep an eye out for your pictures when he gets them up at the following website. Please do not attempt to contact him to speed up the process.duffellphotographics.photoreflect.com

Why not just post all of the pictures right after the show and crop/edit them when someone buys it? He took around 10 shots of each calf and is only going to post the one he thinks is best? That won't sell pictures. Try someone like Linde next year. Her pictures are posted within 2 days and she knows how to set up cattle at the backdrop. Not trying to be mean, but honest! Pictures are extemely important to breeders of these calves.

agreed, no disrespect to Mr. Duffell but either he should JUST take the shot and let someone else set them up (he had most of them spread way to far) or the VCCP committee should get someone else, and he did say when taking the pictures that they would be up by the next weekend

For the third year in a row the backdrop sucked. To high to much stuff in background. Move it away from the ring. Vccp committee needs to listen too

it wasnt that the backdrop sucked, we shouldve been able to set our cattle up how we wanted sinse he couldnt do it how we liked it. seemed like all the cattle were really stretched out. havent seen the pictures yet but i know the ones we took were bad how he set them up. opinions?

The backdrop was built up so high and was on a downward slope. The cattle wanted to put their outside front leg out farther to brace themselves on this mountain. A suggestion for next year, instead of 6" of fluffy, unstable shavings on top, maybe try a tightly packed light colored tan bark. We want our cattle to photograph their best just as you want them to represent the quality of your show.
