We use the breeder grower on the heifers, but if you are going to show her it she needs to have some cover so you might just feed her blaster. As for the switching to barley base, some don't ever switch. It all depends on how much fat you have and you need to have some fat to switch because the barley will smooth out the finish you already have it may add some, but in our experience it just smoothed the corn finish we had on them.
