buzzards Posted by tx on September 1, 2009, 2:56 pm 75.53.122.X every year buzzards kill and eat 7 to 10 baby calves on our ranch does anyone have any ideals on how to stop them  Post a Response

Legally you can get a permit from US Fish and Wildlife to kill one of the black headed buzzards (which are the variety that kill calves, they are migratory birds so they are protected) and hang it on a fence. If you hang all the ones you kill either on a fence or in trees, the buzzards will go away. Watch out for the game warden if you don't have a permit and happy hunting.  Post a Response

Watch out for the game warden : if you don't have a permit and happy : hunting. : : stack 2 hay rings one on top of the other,rap them with net wire and throw some road kill in the bottom,they will get in there for dinner but cant get back out because they cant fly straight up. then you can shoot them. here the blackheaded buzzards are the predators. :  Post a Response
