I presume that the term "club" refers cattle purchased and shown by 4-Her's who are in 4-H clubs.  Post a Response

They are usally cross-bred between maine-anjou, chi, shorthorn, angus, maine, and charlois. They also are higher priced than cattle for meat. They are all different in color according to the pedigree and are usually bred to have lots of hair. but its pretty much another word for show cattle. and the real clubcalves are not just shown at the county fairs through 4-H, they are usally show and worked with year round. the word clubcalf did come from the 4-H idustry when used to tolk about the calves that would be taken through 4-H but then developed just another name for better show cattle.  Post a Response
