Sunseeker? Posted by central ohio on April 17, 2008, 3:30 pm 156.63.54.144 Sunseeker has the best set of calves on the ground that I have seen this year. What is it going to take for the big cattle jocks to take notice of his calves? I know you need a good one and he can throw a cripple, just like every other clubcalve bull, and occationally a monkey mouthed calf. At what stage of their growth do these calves fall apart?  Post a Response

Posted by Craig on April 17, 2008, 4:57 pm, in reply to "Sunseeker?" 67.37.70.78 They seem to have a stage late spring where they look a little plainer than the normal calf looks at that time of shuckin hair, we even had one not eat as well but they definately come back around mid-late summer and finish well. Some people are probably second guessing their Sunseekers right about this time of the year but hang in there and keep working on them and they will come back around.  Post a Response

She had a super stout and hairy heifer. Everything seems okay, maybe one of our best this year! JB p.s. cow is half simme  Post a Response

Last year about 10 of his top 12 calves that probably averaged near $12-15,000 were Sunseekers. We'll see how they finish. He's got them in great hands. These spring 08 babies will probably be the set that makes or breaks that bull. There's gonna be a bunch more around this year to see how they pan out  Post a Response
