HEAT WAVE OR WHO MADE WHO Posted by MEL on April 17, 2008, 11:41 am 63.250.235.120 HAVE AN APPENDIX SHORTHORN OUT OF SIN CITY THAT I PLAN TO FLUSH. SHE IS DEEP BODIED, CLEAN AND EXTENDED NECK. SHE IS A STRAWBERRY ROAN. HER CALVES COULD USE A LITTLE MORE BONE AND MASS. WHAT WOULD YOU SUGGEST? I WAS THINKING ABOUT HEAT WAVE OR WHO MADE WHO.  Post a Response

Why would you breed to a TH or PHA bull is beyond me....We are cattleman and we are supposed to be the talk of the world and yet so few of you use your head. TH and PHA bulls need slaughtered and those that continue to breed these wonderful (not) bulls are only hurting themselves and other breeders. How many of you are actually testing your cows or heifers? How many will test and sell the animal with the actual results and how many of you are going to lie and say they are clean! Wake up cattle people. Gene McDonald from the shorthorn assoc was right....slaugter the TH And PHA Bulls!  Post a Response

You should say southern seein how you are in Georgia. There are some valuable traits that can be passed on from lots of sires irregardless of TH or PH status. If you breed and manage accordingly there is no reason why you can not benefit from the phenotype these animals carry. Not all calves are positive. Not all breeders are dirty crooks and hide status. Some of us actually test our animals and manage them accordingly.  Post a Response

Heat Wave is great and has had great success, but he is a Th carrier and why take the chance of meessing up a great animal with infecting it with TH or getting it into her calve. WMW has had great succcess and is TH and PHa free and puts out great females.  Post a Response
