There are four sales in that area on the weekend of April 26 & 27. White on the Dutch- Steve White and Danny Kirker Pathway to the Banner - Jason Reynolds, Clint Hall & Kelly Long From Parture to Perfection- Jimmy Simpson & Larry Conn Not sure of the name of the other sale but it is Bogey Green Acres and Hatfields. If anyone has looked through the calves and could give a report that would be greatly appriciated. The only weekend I had free we had about 20 inches of rain.  Post a Response

I see the set as a bunch of Jan and Feb calves that are not gonna make most of the Aug county fairs in my neck of the woods. Guess it doesn't matter so much on the heifers.  Post a Response

That's how I see these sets, but that is just me. It is my opinion that most of the better calves at most of the stops will probably be more geared at the shows this summer than next, maturity wise. It is a fact that no one has been better in that market over the last couple of years and I'm sure there will be a few later calves that are good buys that make decent county fair fats in the end. Your area is probably different. I know the Adams Co fair is in July, so if these kids that want to compete they almost have to have Jan or Feb calf, other wise you are showing a 300lb calf. Most of these breeders in this area breed for Feb and March calves.  Post a Response
