The night before a show we just give ours half feed and at around 10oclock we close the gate so they cant get any water then once you get him to the show get him weighed go tie him up and let him lay down for about 3 to 4 hours but don't give him any feed or water yet maybe just a slab of grass then once he is relaxed give him just a little drink of water then put the feed and grass in front of him and let him eat all he wants and he should get a pretty good belly on him the right before you go into the ring let him drink as much as he wants...This should work
