The Berrien County Fair Beef board has decided that they want to implement a new rule for Beef exhibitors. To prevent the artificial filling of steers prior to weigh in they will supposedly have a veterinarian walk around the barn after they are weighed to decide if an animal looks larger [?] or is peeing too much because that will prove they have been filled? What I want to know is how can a veterinarian determine if a steer is artificially filled or if the steer tanked up on water by himself?
