: We are having an issue with the 2 steers we
: keep in our cool room. Neither eats well
: when they are in the cooler. It's not a huge
: issue on the one (he's already at or near
: his finish weight) but the better of the two
: needs a couple hundred pounds between now on
: the end of August to be at his prime when he
: gets to our state fair.
:
: We started putting them in the cooler 10
: days ago and we keep it at 65-69 degrees.
: They get rinsed each morning and then put in
: the cooler between 6-7:00 am. They come out
: after dark at about 10:00 pm and are rinsed
: a second time.
:
: The cool room has been pitch dark although I
: added a light yesterday after being told
: that may help them stay interested in their
: feed.
:
: I'm looking for any advice you'd like to
: share.
