Steer going down hill fast

I have a heat wave steer that had a lot of hair on him walk great and always had a good looked to him but over the last week he just went down hill fast hes loosing his hair always puts his breaks on when your walking him and he just looks like a lunk head now anybody have this problem before? i need help fast
