I would say if you think about the maternal side of your breeding program you better be thinking alot more open minded than just Heatwave.There is no doubt when you think "state fair champion steer" yeah, without a doubt Heatwave is an undisputed legend, but say you own 20 mama cows,if you want to be producing high end calves 10 or 20 years from now you need to think about those replacements that are gonna be out in the field putting that maternal influence into your calves whether you breed her to H.W. or Monopoly or the next big thing at the time.So I`m just saying if someone likes sires like, W.M.W.,Dr.WHO,Hannibal,or even Meyer &Full Flush I think there right on! ,remember not all 20 of those calves out of your cow herd are gonna be $25,000 Heat Wave steer calves..
