If your cow hasn't calved it is impossible for her to have a uterine prolapse. The calf is holding the uterus in place. She is most likly having a vaginal prolapse which is not as big of a problem. If your vet sewed her up you'll need to be there when she calves because the calf can't come out with those stitches holding everything in.
