I thought that Naughty Pine and Hollywood both sired some good ones in pretty limited use. Carnac has probably had as many high sellers as any and sired the best steer in the west this year (Shutz's). Also, don't forget, when trying to replicate the breeding of Heatwave, try similarly made Heatseeker sons instead of HW sons. HW is a HS son himself, so that could actually be a better replacement (think Point Taken, Money Shot, My Turn, etc). Also there are at least three full brothers to HW that I know of (Wave Runner, Gold Glove, and Red Bull) that are not in the Lautner lineup. Maybe they'd be more available. I saw good Wave Runners in IN at a few places last 2 years.
