The reason that the cloned cat come out with a different color pattern than the original is because it lay ed different in the uterus. In the coloring of a anamal color pigments travel from the nose to the tale. So if during that time the cats right side was up against the uterus wall less or no color pigment can get those parts of the body. Thus resulting in a different color pattern.
