as for the feeding...showtec or kalmbach seems to be the answer. as for feeding, feeding them to about 175-200 on full feed is ok if they are small, it all depends on how big, what's their optimum weight. it's also all about keeping them fresh enough. as for a waterer.. nipple waterers are not the answer if you ask me. use the cup waterers from farmtek. they bolt right onto the fence and keep from making quite a mess. it's very easy to hook up several on a garden hose. and finally don't forget showtec makes a grind and feed that can help save feed costs. still keeps the showtec feed but can help the bottom line if it's really a prob. we still feed the pellets.
