We, too, have a dirt floor in our barn. We have 8x8 pens for our pigs. I layed 2 sheets of OSB down and put thick layer of shavings in their pens. We took some scrap plywood and lined the sides of the pens to keep the shavings in. If picked out 2/3 times a day the pens stay real nice. If you put shavings on the dirt floor, they will root and give you big holes. Good luck.
