No offense, but you might feel this way because you haven't been a fan for say, 23 years...I've seen them every time they've toured....bought every piece of material they've written and produced....It's time for something new, new studio material, a new set list, new dvd....something different....there comes a point where us die hard fans can not defend a lack of action....and I also think it's BS that we would have to go to facebook or myspace to attempt to communicate with anyone, I mean, exactly what was this website created for anyways?
I will give Jeff LaBar well deserved credit though, he and his wife seem to do a pretty decent job of at least trying to communicate with people...
It's Tom's life, and he must decide what he wants to do as a musican/person....I have the absolute most respect for him as a musician, he was by far one of the very best vocalist, songwriters and guitarists to come out of the 80's....If he wants to continue making money playing music, I don't see how this helps at all....That's all I'm saying...
BTW, have you checked out what bands are getting signed by Independant Labels vs. the big boys?
Music is not what it was...the internet has changed everything...Gone are the days of getting "signed" and being set for life...Look at all of the record sales of the 80's bands...It's a different scenario now.
