Hi Gail, I'm as saddened as you are that the complete prints of "CS" remain unavailable -- even on supposedly uncut/full-length DVDs or Encore Westerns Channel. In McFarland's wonderful new book on another 90-minute western, "The Virginian," the producer stipulates that original 90-minute network episodes in the 1960s ran 74 minutes and 30 seconds without commercials. So these 70 & 71 minute "CS" DVDs are not the real deal, as claimed. Like you, I'd prefer to have 8 DVDs instead of 23 DVDs comprising the series' run. Good luck returning them! David
