Are these the same DVDs that are available on this site? Has anyone bought these (from this site)?I saw the whole set available (I don't remember where) for $79.00 and I wondered why they were so much cheaper there. Same version or a different one? Paula
: The same friend who so thoughtfully
: taped CS for me, when it was on
: cable, back in the early nineties,
: just sent me two, brand new, DVD
: episodes: "Journey To A
: Hanging" and "The Legend
: Of Judd Starr". I love the
: DVDs and I appreciate this most
: thoughtful and generous of gifts.
: However, I must say, that I am
: apalled at the pitiful, extremely
: POOR quality of the DVD production,
: including problems with the way
: these DVDs play. The picture is
: jerky and runs in sort a' slow
: motion, sometimes. CBS did a really
: crappy job. The show
: deserved/deserves much better. If
: they are going to charge such an
: outrageous price for these things,
: the quality should be there. I have
: seen bootleg DVDs, that were put
: together on someone's personal
: computer, that look a whole lot more
: professional and 'sharp'. The
: photos on the covers of these DVDs
: are of such poor quality, (so dark
: and distorted) you can't even see
: what is in them. I'd be emabarassed
: to peddle them for such a premium
: price. If you are going to sell the
: public such a poor quality product,
: I say, charge accordingly, i.e. a
: much lower price.
: The DVDs were purchased from
: CustomFlix and they 'claim' to be
: produced by CBS, in association with
: Stuart Whitman, Inc.
: I'm having a really hard time
: 'buying' that.
: Anybody else have a similar
: experience?
:
: Why didn't they do a better job?
: Honestly, even I could have done the
: show more justice, with my Adobe
: photoshop program and DVD label
: maker. ...sigh
:
: Very, very amatuerish and
: disappointing...IMHO
