I am sure the original 35mm prints remain intact. However no one I'm sure bothered to go back to the original source. These look to be the same pre-cut tapes that were made for the initial sales of the series in the mid-80s to CBN, which was the first network to rerun the show. Whoever is handling the show now didn't want to spend the money to go back and remaster the episodes and unfortunately there is no one at Encore who either cares or is knowledgeable enough to say something about it. As for selling cut episodes at these already outrageous DVD prices, that's an abomination.
