The Old Pies open their season with a local derby against Old Hooky at San W
next Weds, and with an encouraging summer and pre-season it will be very
interesting who gets the nod to start.
With one or two newcomers who've strengthened the squad, and mindful of
last season's disappointment at the end, it'll be a very tough call for Fabio.
The team looked a bit lightweight upfront last night and Hooky are very strong
defensively, wonder if Dougal [if fit??] might be deployed to cancel out danger
man Dicky Knight who ran the show in last season's 4 - 0 reversal in the Over 40's?
Perhaps a good time to play them though and maybe a draw might be very likely.
Can see them and Brize being very strong this time so any points will be hard
earned for the Pies, and who need to be up to the mark from the off this season
like last!
