Well stone the crows, and are you sitting down comfortably?
Nose-bleed time at San Walterbush on Saturday night when Capt S and his charges returned having won,
YES WON, the Stonehose Vets 6's without losing a game.
Despite a late arrival due to SAT NAV, after a slow start drawing the first game 0-0, they went on to win
1-0 in the next, drew 1-1 in the third game, narrowly beat the runners-up who were also in black and white
stripes 1-0, won the fifth game 3-0 going into the last game unbeaten.
Was the BIG ONE on, should they check the other results, well reluctantly they decided to check, to
find a draw would be enough and duly held out 0-0 with only one heart-stopping moment for Harry!
So get the silver polish out WATTY!!
A great day out and a friendly with Stonehouse Vets later in the year in the pipeline.

Stato says this is the first Old Pies achievement since they were reformed in 2002/3 season and having
previously won the double in 2000/1 in Burty's days.
So lets hope there's more to come.
