Who Will Be The New White Sox TV Play By Play Voice?

When Jason Benetti decided to leave the White Sox TV booth last November for a similar position with the AL Central rival Detroit Tigers, it raised a question regarding who will replace him alongside Steve Stone in the Sox TV booth for the upcoming season. It's been very quiet since Benetti's big announcement, but with pitchers & catchers about a month away from reporting to Spring Training, the Sox still haven't filled their PBP vacancy.
It's already common knowledge that the Sox plan on keeping Len Kasper full time in the radio booth, calling games with Darrin Jackson on ESPN Radio 1000 AM, the team's flagship station. Kasper is no stranger to TV, having worked with Stone on many occasions when Benetti was on network assignment for FOX & FS1 respectively.
Most think that Mike Monaco would be the ideal replacement for Benetti. Sox fans, as well as Bulls & Blackhawks' fans should be familiar with Monaco dating back to the 2020 pandemic. Monaco has also filled in for Dave O'Brien on Boston Red Sox/NESN broadcasts, too.
There is one likely snag that could prevent Monaco from changing Sox. A year ago, Monaco signed an extension with ESPN as one of their many PBP voices on College Football & Basketball, as well as MLB & NHL. If Monaco lands the White Sox job, it's very likely that he might have to relinquish one of these national roles on one of ESPN's many national outlets.
Other names that have been mentioned include Sox Radio pre & postgame host Connor McKnight & Big Ten Network's Connor Onion.
It's unclear when the Sox will make its decision, but one thing appears certain. The Sox want committment for whoever gets this job.
