It seems like there was some sort of spat between Troy Hanson and Justin Nettlebeck on Friday of last week.
They all went on the air together to announce the addition of Kenzie K this coming week. Troy made a comment "Have you even dealt with Justin Nettebeck?" and Justin responded "I'm sick of you putting me down all the time" and then Troy responded playfully "Look who has to share the spotlight now!" and Justin responded in a sarcastic tone "I'm actually very excited" and they carried on the rest of the show. At the end of the show, Justin said he loved everybody and thanked them. He quit that day.
Listeners were very angry. They were under the impression that Justin was being treated badly by Troy. There was a huge outcry from angry listeners. Lots of calls to fire him.
Cumulus supposedly has a company culture rule where they will let go of any management, even if they are performing well if they violate the company's culture. Assuming that happened, and that they are following this rule, I'll guess that's what happened to Troy. Basically they will fire someone who violates the culture regardless of how well they are doing because it sets an example. They take this seriously. Either that or he just quit. He signed a 3 year extension last fall.

Oh ok. Really bizarre how they hire Kenzie, Justin quits, and now Troy is out. Awful lot of activity the last few days. There's no possibility that this didn't come from Atlanta due to deep revenue decline in Q1?

The Cumulus contracts are treacherous for employees. There are 100 off ramps that management can use if they want to blow someone out. They are super few for the employee.
This is noise. I would look twice as management hiring either of them in my company.
