By the time I started at WFYR in 1989, after the demise of WLS, Bob had left the station.
When we flipped to the Blaze in April of 1991, I was promoted from weekends to overnights. I did not have a contract. I auditioned for the spot and landed the job. Brian Kelly did have a contract, and even though they liked him, because he was making too much money they let him go as soon as his contract ran out.
As far as I know, Bob never worked at The Blaze. I stayed there until the fall of 1993, and then I was hired back in the fall of 1994 when the format had flipped to Rock 103 5.
A year or two later, when Mark Zander left Rock 103 5, Bob replaced Mark.
