Radiohad, good point, but at CBS Chicago, is it *mandatory* or produced content for local outlets? |
This is not political slant, Radiohead wasn't politically slanting it, nor will I. But you will see it stated by many as political everywhere on the internet, to push agenda.
Consider the statement: News is local. You tailor the approach for your local market.
Then, consider this statement: The issue at hand is, how you can have 1 corporation, push down a pre-written statement and make it *MANDATORY* to have it read by more than one media outlet, in this case ALL of them, under the company umbrella.
My reply is: Anyone ever watch/read 1984?
The FCC has had its teeth pulled and is compromised. It doesn't matter which political party is in, all checks and balances are being removed. When you are considering a company have 73% reach to the US audience and they make it *MANDATORY* that pre-scripted verbiage be spoken over their outlets, I say once more, Anyone ever watch/read 1984?
