I think anyone who programs the RDS/RBDS text with words that people wouldn’t want their children to see, or have to explain, is too immature to be allowed that responsibility. Whether that’s Matt or someone else at the station (not sure if there even is anyone else there), he needs to act like a mature adult and clean it up. I wonder, does the FCC interpret obscene or vulgar language via radio text similarly to audio content? One or two photos of a radio display might be admissible in a complaint filing.
