PPM has killed anything that is spoken for more than 11 seconds. When they do go over 11 seconds, it is usually ridiculous drivel. Commercials have killed music or talk continuity. The wit and intelligence targeting the audience has been left behind. It is a race to the bottom of the barrel.
Concerning AM drive.....
The days of Johnny B are gone.
The days of Doug Banks are gone.
The days of Eddie & JoBo are gone.
The days of Mancow are gone.
The days of Larry LuJack are gone.
The days of Wally Phillips are gone. (50 share in AM drive, now unheard of, up until his last day when he transitioned to an afternoon drive show. Pure comedy, not staged nonsense, hate, celeb gossip, with fake background laugh tracks).
You see the trend.
