Radio stations don't work for labor unions, or any other unions. Was WCFL even a union shop? The staff would have had to vote it in and the management then bargain in good faith according to NLRB regulations to come to a mutually agreed upon collective bargaining agreement. Staff dues go to the union, not to the radio station. The radio station does not pay the union, they pay the staff. Whether it is a union shop or not.
