New York is a lot like Chicago. They have one K-LOVE signal and itís a weaker signal like WJKL. This will give them a full market signal and another for Air 1. It was a Long Island station that was squeezed in
In San Jose, they have K-LOVE on WRME-LPís sister station (Owned by Venture) a TV Channel 6 87.7. They also had been leasing the sub channel of the station they are buying to feed 2 Air 1 translators.
In Atlanta, CCM does very well. Salem has a Fish branded station and there is one other. No K-LOVE but there is an audience for it.
No full signal K-LOVE outlet in Washington, DC
No K-LOVE station in Savannah, GA. Being in the Bible belt, Iím surprised there was not already one there. They do however have an Air 1 signal there.
Their Syracuse, NY station is an iHeart HD-2 translator. No Air 1
What this tells me is that they do buy stations when approached, but they also seemingly do for a reason, usually to fill coverage gaps or to add a market when possible.
The alarming thing was the price. They got all of them for 120 Million. Stations are obviously not worth much anymore.
