Most SAG-AFTRA radio stations have a minimum call rule. Big 95'5's is 5 hours. No matter how many hours a talent works, they get paid for at least 5 hours. They could give her a 3-hr mid day shift and she'd still get paid for 5 hours. The PD has it in his contract that he does a few hours voicetracked. Ms Bama likely makes more than scale in her contract anyway. More than likely the overlap is to keep interest in the show with a popular talent while introducing the [not so] new syndicated show and keeping her employed. Wouldn't doubt if she's looking to get out on her own, anyway.
It wouldn't be strange to presume Lisa Dent would get worked into mornings eventually--except considering the station targets a young CHR type demo it's weird they even brought a 55+ year old jock on except for stunting on her popularity as a novelty on weekends. [Not supporting ageism, just weird that she'd be brought on a station that targets young people who likely didn't know who she was in her big US99 popularity days anyhow.] So whether or not these changes eventually involve Dent is still a crapshoot.
