When it launched, it was very quiet. Like WLIT was before 1999. Lots of songs. Whispered liners from the late Nick Michaels (Next to nothing for sound effects), DJs would talk without any music beds in the background, no contests, no talking over intros, very laid back presentation.
Now you have the same station, with the DJs doing most of those things. They talk over the music. They have contests. They take calls and put people on the air. It's kind of stuck between the "Music. Period" presentation and the typical radio approach.
Whatever it is, it works.
