i have to laugh when i read these whining little babies.
It's music, it's not the end of the world if you can't listen to it all day long because you have a life!
"Donít get me wrong: Thereís nothing wrong with listening to a catchy single. But letís be real: very few people are listening to albums from beginning to end, reading liner notes, and basking in the glory that is the album. Itís all because of the non-linear nature of music streaming"
Let's be real little boy.... If you put people you don't know on a pedestal that high then you need to seek help pal.
Let's get real: It's because our lives are occupied with more things than before not to mention, WE GROW UP. We don't sit around the close n play and listen to the album anymore for many reasons, including time.
Amazes me how people see shit that isn't there because they're enamored with it, we should too or we're not cool? Whiny twerp.
I'm a grownup, if I want to learn about the artist or the making of the album I'm sure I'm smart enough to find everything about it when i use this thing called GOOGLE.
While I miss the liner notes etc, my life is just fine without them too. I miss pooping in my pants too, doesn't mean I need to go back to those days.
Radio is a mess but it isn't going anywhere, the values will decrease but it isn't going anywhere. Radio's service to the community isn't going anywhere. What radio was will never be again, what it is is what it is now and it's about as bottom lined, flattened out as it's going to get.
So you can take that pathetic audio quality of Spotify, that brutal system from Amazon and enjoy your low-grade service. I'll pass on them all. The term 'artist' is used far too loosley these days. There's enough free ways to find whatever I may be in the mood for so I'll enjoy that without attaching any importance to it, thanks
