The broadcast allocation for WPWR which is RF Channel 51 is being relinquished/sold in the FCC Repack / 600 MHz auction.
Fox is keeping WFLD RF Channel 31, which will relocate to RF Channel 24. Fox32 will continue to appear as Channel 32.1 after the transition. Meanwhile, CW50 will transfer from its own RF channel to WFLD's RF channel, effectively sharing bandwidth with Fox32. It will continue to appear as 50.1 thanks to the magic of virtual (PSIP) numbering.
Note on this page where "50" moves from 51 to Shared 24.
So, here is where I am confused. What exactly would Sinclair be buying? Shared bandwidth on WFLD's RF Channel? The FCC cannot sell back the auctioned RF Channel.
