The 18 year old in 1957 listening to Top40/currents, is now 78 years old. Sorry to be grim, but for those still with us, majority have NO disposable income. They are not buying houses, new cars, extravagant vacations etc.... That is also why you hear mobile dentists advertising on METV radio. These types of ads are local and demand no premium ad rates.
Even 64 year olds, the most upper end of the demo which get rated, have no relation to 50s music and a tad bit more with 60s music, but identify with 70s and disco more than either.
There is absolutely no demand for 50s or 60s in the current 18 -34 or even 25 -54 demos. The people over 64 fall into survival mode for revenue and have no ad dollars.
