End of the day, lot of time listeners, just go away. This isn't 1979 where there were little to no options. When Energy 927&5 went away everyone expected listeners to go get hip-hopped on B96 & KISS. Well, most of that 2 share 12+ & 5 share 18-34 faded off. If people don't get what they want on FM radio they will go elsewhere. I think some will end up on WLIT. WLS. Most will fade off and get the fix elsewhere.
I am surprised 95.5 hasn't flipped already to counter 104.3 but iHeart is keeping an eye on them to see where that ends up as these high numbers will fade. Everyone had US99.5 on their death bed a few years ago. Where did that end up?
The Loop and Drive are two different animals even if under the same title. The story there is, what will happen to Mancow?
WLIT can play AC all day long. WSHE has to play "I will protect WTMX". So the answer is, yes.
