I listen to the AM broadcast when I can simply because their AM signal reaches me.
I was skeptical early on but now that I listen, I like what I'm hearing. Familiar songs, imaging is ok and their mix shows are top notch.
I should say that I work in radio here in town and can tell you that your statement about corporate radio is true, it's also why our industry is in such disarray.
I'm not a fan of what's being done over at 104.3 but I wasn't a fan of what they were doing before either and I really have no horse in this race but it's fun to watch and listen to.
104.3 and 102.3 are two completely different stations obviously aiming for completely different demographics. In closing, I'm sure there's some overlap in there somewhere.
Good luck to them, there's not many doing anything to attract attention out there other than their billboards, once you turn them on, you hear the same songs. When you turn this station on you hear familiar songs that aren't based in rock or pop classics and for me, that's ok.
Judging from their social networking pages and this board, they're doing a fine job on many levels and hope they keep going.
