Others, like WYCC are going off the air completely. In some cases, others are going to sub channels of sister stations.
Milwaukee for example, there's WMVS and WMVT. WMVT is the secondary PBS station in the market. They're moving WMVT to WMVS's channel space but it will still operate as it's own licensed station. Bunch of sub channels will go away as a result to save bandwidth, but WMVT will still exist.
Because of the Sinclair-Tribune deal, WCGV (Milwaukee's MyNet affiliate) is going off the air the same way WYCC is. Spectrum sold off. Licence turned in.
WCGV's programming will likely move to a sub channel of sister WVTV (CW) which was rebranded from "CW 18" back to it's pre WB-era "Super 18" branding not too long ago. Makes sense to use the old "Super 18" branding, since the station will have likely have both CW and MyNet. Sinclair will also gain Milwaukee's Fox affiliate, WITI.
