Round Lake Beach, IL from a cell phone tower. Calls are WZKO, Frequency 89.1, power output 1,900 watts (Vertical Only)
Overall Coverage of this station should be about McHenry to Gurnee (West To East)
Antioch to Lake Zurich (North to South)
Depending on the radio. Basically north and western Lake County.
This will take Calvary Chapel's longtime translator W206AI (89.1) dark.
Calvary Chapel has an LPFM in Lake Villa, as well as 2 translator stations just south and west Waukegan, one of (99.9) is being used to translate their Lake Villa LPFM (WLGS-LP) which runs Christian Rock music.
This will fill a void in that area for the Calvary Satellite Network, which WLGS-LP will probably flip to in light of W206AI being forced off the air.
This K-Love frequency will fill in heavily Christian areas that are on the fringe of WJKL and WKMZ. WZKL (91.7) Woodstock doesn't cover this area at all from what I've noticed.
