Reading a thread below, on the subject of Feder, we are ecstatic he is back. But, we wanted to address a few things.
This isn't the Sun-Times days when he earns a nice salary regardless how many people read him online or in print. Just like WE thrive on how many people visit us and crawl across our Web Site and here on the forums per day so does Feder. How many people visit the Vocalo site and specifically Feder's blog will dictate how he is resonating with visitors.
On that note, I want to point out, we have redesigned our site looking toward the future. While it looks the same, under the hood it is WAY different. We will be unveiling many new features and pages in the upcoming months.
But for now, our home page features the local Chicago weather, a Shoutcast media player where you can listen to any online stream that you search out, by using the "popout" feature so the player plays as you surf the site.
RSS News Feeds from Vocalo's Feder & the Tribune's Mr Rosenthal's blog are also present on the home page. They are listed there for your ease to visit them, so they get the traffic. When you click the headline links, it will open up another window, so when you are done, you can still have our site open & return to it. Please visit them from our home page so they get the well deserved traffic.

While we would love for you to discuss their columns, link back to them and don't copy/paste the whole article. There are "fair use" laws but basically, you are not allowed to copy/paste a whole article, unless you have permission to do so, even if you link back to the source. You can list a few lines of the article and a link back, or, you can quote certain sections and comment on them, along with a link back to the source.
Last thing on the agenda, in the future we are looking to integrate on www.chicagomediachat.com, Guest Article Columnists. Do you or someone you know Blog and want more exposure? Some possible topics can be DX/Scanning/Radio Formats/Music Trends/Technology or anything Media related. We are eyeballing Weekly, Bi-Monthly or One Time Guest columns. It is volunteer and unpaid but you will be able to promote your MySpace/Facebook/WebSite/Blog and is an excellent opportunity to to get yourself known and hone your skills. All questions, comments and ideas should be sent to Board Admin:
